OVERVIEW
This standard establishes the minimum safety requirements for the control of energy sources which can cause injury to persons. It applies to activities such as erecting, installing, constructing, repairing, adjusting, inspecting, modifying, unjamming, setting up, troubleshooting, testing, cleaning, dismantling, servicing, and maintaining machines, equipment or processes.
Users of the standard include manufacturers, training institutions and relevant government agencies.
