OVERVIEW
This standard establishes the minimum safety requirements for the control of energy sources which could cause injury to persons. It applies to activities such as erecting, installing, constructing, repairing, adjusting, inspecting, modifying, unjamming, setting up, troubleshooting, testing, cleaning, dismantling, servicing, and maintaining machines, equipment or processes.
The standard is reviewed with the intention to update and align with the latest industry practices.
Users of the standard include manufacturers, training institutions and relevant government agencies.
