OVERVIEW

This amendment includes:

1. Modification throughout the whole standard

Replace “EN 22477-5” with “EN ISO 22477-5”.

2. Page 2, Contents

Delete “Table A.NA.12 Partial resistance factors for pre-stressed anchorages at the STR and GEO limit states”

3. Page 12, NA.4 References to non-contradictory complementary information

i) In the 1st paragraph:

a) delete [2] in “UK Design Manual for Roads and Bridges [2]”;

b) delete “CP 18”.

ii) After the 2nd paragraph, add the following new paragraph:

For grouted anchors, the design and construction are covered by SS EN 1997-1, Section 8 and BS EN 1537, respectively. However, as alluded to above, BS 8081:2015+A2:2018 provides non-contradictory complementary information on these aspects. The testing of grouted anchors is covered by EN ISO 22477-5:2018.

4. Page 13, Bibliography

i) Replace BS 1377(all parts) with the following:

BS 1377-1:2016 Methods of test for soils for civil engineering purposes ? General requirements and sample preparation

BS 1377-2:2022 Methods of test for soils for civil engineering purposes ? Classification tests and determination of geotechnical properties

BS 1377-3:2018 Methods of test for soils for civil engineering purposes ?
+A1:2021 Chemical and electro-chemical testing

BS 1377-9:1990 Methods for test for soils for civil engineering purposes –
In-situ tests

ii) Replace “BS EN 4490:2010” with “BS EN 14490:2010”;

iii) Replace “EN ISO 22477-5 Geotechnical investigation and testing – Testing of geotechnical structures. Testing of ground anchor” with “EN ISO 22477-5, Geotechnical investigation and testing — Testing of geotechnical structures — Part 5: Testing of grouted anchors”.
