Code of practice for bunker sampling
OVERVIEW
This standard sets out the general custody transfer sampling and safety requirements for all ambient liquid marine fuel bunker sampling activities, including Class F marine fuels and methanol as marine fuels. It also specifies the applicable fuel-specific technical procedures and safety measures for Class F marine fuels and methanol.
This standard excludes the following:
– Cargo sampling;
– Ethanol (may be considered in a future revision following operational trials, technical validation and approval from the relevant authority).
Users of the standard include bunker suppliers, bunker craft operators, bunker buyers and surveyors.
