Faecal microbiota transplant (FMT) processing protocol
OVERVIEW
This standard specifies the requirements and recommendations for ensuring the safety and efficacy of patients receiving FMT, covering:
a) donor screening, with a focus on infectious diseases with the potential for transmission to the recipient, and
b) considerations involved in FMT production, including collection, logistics and processing.
The standard covers liquid FMT only and excludes purified or manufactured FMT-derived products.
