Specification for timber flat pallets (SS 334:2010)
OVERVIEW
This standard specifies the principal dimensions and tolerances of newly constructed flat timber pallets of single-deck, double-deck, reversible and non-reversible of all entry types, relating to their transportation, storage, and handling by appropriate equipment. It also specifies performance requirements and testing methods.
This standard also recommends the treatment required under the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM15) and storage thereafter.
An amendment has been made to this standard. It includes updates of relevant references to reflect revised international standards, and clarification of split measurement rules with an illustrative example.
Users of the standard include manufacturers and suppliers, and depot personnel.
