Maturity method for estimation of concrete strength
OVERVIEW
This TR provides requirements and guidelines for estimating early-age in-situ compressive and flexural strength of concrete using the maturity method. This TR is applicable to structural and non-structural concrete designed to SS EN 1992. The method is suitable for both cast in-situ works and the production of prefabricated (precast) concrete elements.
Application of the maturity method involves additional verification or modified requirements in the following situations:
a) Estimating strength within the first 24 h of concrete placing (refer to Annex A); and
b) Estimating strength beyond 14 days of concrete placing.
