OVERVIEW
This document specifies general requirements, construction, performance and testing methods of transmitting heading devices (THDs) using gyro-compasses, which are required to comply with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1974 (as amended), Chapter V, and IMO Resolution MSC.116(73).
