This standard specifies rules for the certification and for the self-evaluation of couplers to be used for the mechanical splicing of steel reinforcing bars.
This standard includes requirements for the control of the manufacturing process of the couplers and for the verification of their conformity in the form of mechanical splices.
Users of the above standards include consultants, engineers, service providers, testing, inspection and certification (TIC) bodies, and relevant government agencies.
