Code of practice for meter verification using master mass flow meter (Review of TR 80:2020)
OVERVIEW
This standard covers the following:
a) Criteria and metrological requirements to qualify for a master meter and the maintenance of its master meter status.
b) Requirements and procedures for meter verification using master mass flow meter to verify and check the stability and performance of a duty meter installed on a bunker tanker or at a terminal.
The key changes in this review are as follows:
? Included considerations for master mass flow meter used for methanol.
? Enhanced schematic diagrams for meter verification setup including the ship-shore electrical cable connection.
? Provided greater clarity on the meter verification process.
This standard is reviewed with the intention to elevate TR 80 into a Singapore Standard.
Users of the standard include bunker suppliers, bunker craft operators, oil terminals, vendors of Coriolis mass flow meters, surveyors, ship owners/buyers, testing, inspection and certification bodies (TIC) and relevant government agencies.
