Code of practice for construction computer-aided design – Part 2: CAD symbols

OVERVIEW

This code recommends a common set of symbols to be used by all parties in the building industry in the preparation of drawings.

The objectives of this code aim to do the following:

• To provide a standard set of 2D graphical symbols to represent entities of building components for the building industry.

• To facilitate common understanding and interpretation of information in drawings by different users of the building industry.

• To facilitate easy and efficient exchange of information.

COMMENTS

This standard was first published in 2000. It was confirmed in 2015, 2020 and 2026 (with amendments). Amendments can be obtained from the Singapore Standards eShop.
