Code of practice for air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation in buildings
OVERVIEW
This standard describes provisions for the design, construction, installation, testing and commissioning, operation and maintenance of air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) systems in commercial, office, and institutional buildings, and retail clinics located within commercial and institutional buildings, except hospitals, polyclinics, cleanrooms and laboratories.
This standard establishes minimum requirements in ACMV engineering practice to achieve an acceptable indoor thermal environment in an energy-efficient manner with general consideration for indoor air quality (IAQ) and equipment maintainability.
Users should refer to SS 554 for specific and complete IAQ requirement.
