Specification for system and software modifications in the rapid transit system
OVERVIEW
This Technical Reference (TR) covers modification works associated in the operations and maintenance phase that is performed on the existing rapid transit system (RTS) such as hardware and software modifications that can have an impact on its safety, technical and/or operational performance.
Modifications that are not covered in this TR include those made to the entire contract/project scope. Some examples are as follows:
- RTS line expansion;
- New RTS station;
- New depot for RTS line;
- New RTS interchange; and
- Additional railway vehicles.
However, those contracts/projects that involve the interface with existing RTS systems and infrastructures are covered in this TR.
