Code of practice for the processing and handling of quick frozen foods

OVERVIEW

Provides guidelines for the processing, handling, storage, distribution and retailing of quick frozen foods in order to ensure food safety and to maintain the quality of the foods up to the time of final sale.

Applies to quick frozen foods of all types which have been subjected to the process of quick freezing and are offered for sale in a frozen state. Does not apply to ices, frozen milk and dairy products.
